Mission

To prepare professionals who are committed to lifelong learning, analytical and critical thinking, and working with others; moreover, to prepare those who embrace the spirit of Tzu Chi Humanities and are willing to tend to those in need.

Education goals

Undergraduate: To prepare highly qualified public health professionals equipped with good knowledge and ability, willingness to help people in need, and dedication to professionalism and teamwork.
Graduate:
1.Deliver student-centered educational programs that enable graduates to become leaders in public health research and practice.
2.Effectively blend the interests of the students and the demands of the job market to produce leaders in practice and research.
3.Train public health fellows who understand multi-ethnic health issues.

Interdisciplinary learning platform

The five major fields of public health are environmental and occupational health, epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy and management, and social behavior science. TCU Public Health offers various courses in the five fields. TCU Public Health places public health practice as the primary means through which students strengthen their knowledge and skills. In addition, TCU also offers many interdisciplinary programs, such as secondary teacher preparation, emergency care, occupational health, and multi-ethnic health promotion, to enhance the students’ career choices. Students may also pursue their second majors in nursing, physical therapy, social work, communication studies.
